Use this checklist to compare a proposed watch with your written order, ask focused questions and keep a clear record before QC approval.

1. Save the exact configuration
Keep the product URL and the final configuration agreed in writing: model, stated reference, size, dial, bezel, bracelet, offered movement and selected extras. Save the date of the quote. If an option changes, update the record before reviewing another photo set.
Ask whether the images show the specific unit proposed for your order and how it is identified. A catalogue photograph explains an appearance but does not show that unit’s condition. Keep personal and payment information out of any album you share publicly.
2. Work through the evidence
Tick each item after reviewing it. Ticks stay on this open page only. Print or save your completed record if you need to retain it.
3. Keep one row per question

Fictional example: a date appears off-centre in an angled image. Record the filename and request a straight-on photograph of the same date. Keep the item unresolved until the new evidence answers the question. An image affected by perspective is insufficient for a precise defect measurement.
4. Send a focused clarification
Please confirm that this photo set shows the unit proposed for my order and matches our final configuration. In [image name], I can see [observation]. Please provide [specific view or demonstration]. Please also confirm the applicable options and conditions if I request a change before dispatch or report an issue after delivery.
For timing evidence, ask which unit was tested, when, in what position and with which settings. A single measurement does not promise the same result during daily wear. A photograph of a crown or case-back marking also does not substitute for unit-specific water-resistance evidence.
5. Save the decision
Keep the exact photo set, seller replies and approved configuration together. Record whether you requested clarification, asked for revised evidence or approved that configuration. If the unit or configuration changes, obtain and review the new evidence before approving the change.
After dispatch, keep dispatch information separate from later carrier acceptance and delivery records. On arrival, compare the item with your order and document discrepancies promptly through the agreed process. This worksheet does not promise a refund, replacement or universal claims deadline.
