What to check
- Raised bezel numerals. They should stand clearly above the matte background with polished tops and crisp edges. Flat or printed numerals are wrong.
- Bidirectional bezel action. The Yacht-Master bezel turns both ways, unlike a dive bezel. It should turn smoothly with even resistance.
- Platinum bezel colour on the Rolesium 126622, which should read cool grey rather than white or silver.
- Oysterflex on rubber-strap references: a metal blade inside an elastomer coating, so it should feel firm and slightly springy, not floppy.
The Rolex Yacht-Master clone references we stock
The 126622 Rolesium with platinum bezel, 226659 white gold on Oysterflex, two-tone Everose configurations, and 37mm and 40mm sizes. $1,200.
Before it ships
Each Yacht-Master spends 24 to 48 hours on a timegrapher. We check bezel rotation in both directions and photograph the bezel at an angle so the raised numerals are visible in relief.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a Yacht-Master super clone?
$1,200.
How is it different from a Submariner?
Raised polished bezel numerals rather than engraved ones, a bidirectional bezel rather than one-way, and a dressier overall finish.
What is Oysterflex?
A rubber-coated metal blade strap. It should feel firm and springy. Plain rubber straps sold as Oysterflex are a substitution.
