Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned movement built to the architecture of the original, not a genuine factory calibre. Clean Factory leads the current sports references and AR Factory the older Submariners. Ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k yellow gold. This build is plated over steel. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

First off, this Day-Date looks way better in hand than I expected. The green dial pops, the gold has that solid feel, and the whole watch sits really well on the wrist for everyday use. I’ve been rotating it into my normal week stuff, and it doesn’t feel like a “special occasion only” piece at all. It has enough presence without feeling overdone, which is exactly what I wanted. For a daily driver, it’s been dead easy to wear and enjoy every day.

Could this really feel close to the real thing? Yeah, honestly, it gets a lot right. The Oyster bracelet has a smooth, substantial feel that makes the watch sit comfortably and confidently, and that was the first thing I noticed out of the box. i kept messing with it just because it felt that good on wrist. My only small gripe is that I wished the clasp had a slightly more refined snap, but that’s being picky. Gave it to my brother and he lit up right away.
