Was I nervous buying a replica for the first time? A bit, but this watch calmed that right down. The cyclops magnification is strong and makes the date easy to read without looking off. Overall the dial and case look very clean, and the weight feels convincing on the wrist. My only small nitpick is that the packaging was more plain than I expected. For my first go, it is better than I thought it would be. I handed it to my wife as a gift and she said it looked sharp right away.

Did I buy this as a little upgrade for myself? Yep, and it mostly hit the mark. The ceramic bezel has a nice rich look, not shiny in a cheap way, and the dial detail is what sold me. The markers and print look crisp, so it has that good, expensive feel from a normal viewing distance. My one gripe is the clasp could use a touch more smoothness when opening. Other than that, it wears easy and does not feel bulky at all, so it has become an everyday piece for me.
