Arrived-and-opened, and the first thing that stood out was the dial. I was replacing an older rep I’d worn for years, and this one is in a different class when it comes to the Blue Ombre look. The color shift reads smooth instead of flat, and the outer darkening has real depth to it. What caught me most was how clean the printing looks under normal light; the markers sit neatly, the text is sharp, and the whole face has that calm, expensive look the Day-Date is known for.
the dial is where this watch really earns its keep.
I’ve spent enough time with these to notice when the details are rushed, and here they don’t feel rushed at all. The date window sits right, and the overall balance on the wrist feels right as well. This was meant to replace a previous piece, and it does that job very well without making a scene about it. For everyday use, it has been easy to wear and easy to enjoy.

What a nice upgrade… this thing looked good out of the box and even better on wrist. I bought it as a little self-treat, and the cyclops is the part that won me over right away. The date pops nicely and is easy to read without having to tilt it around, which is exactly what I wanted from this watch.
It wears well for a Day-Date style piece, with enough presence to feel special but not so much that it feels like a costume. The bracelet and overall balance make it comfortable for daily wear, too. My one small nitpick is that the packaging is a bit more basic than the watch itself. Still, for the money, I’m very happy. I’d recommend it to anyone thinking about pulling the trigger…
