White gold with a black Cerachrom bezel on the Oysterflex. White gold is cooler in tone than yellow gold or Everose, and the polished lug faces carry light differently from brushed steel. The combination reads close to the steel 116500LN from a distance, but up close the case material is distinct. The Cerachrom bezel is the same black ceramic unit used on other precious-metal Daytonas. On the Oysterflex, the white gold case sits with the same low profile as the Everose and yellow gold versions.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned 4130, not a genuine Rolex calibre. It reproduces the architecture of the original and it runs a working chronograph, which is the point of the reference.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k white gold. This build is plated over steel, which is why it costs what it costs. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.
