A full black case treatment removes all the contrast that the standard Offshore chronograph uses between the case metal, the rubber elements, and the dial. On the black case, the watch reads as a single dark surface, and the sub-dials carry all the visual work. The pushers and crown must still show correct rubber-clad texture, because black PVD can obscure finishing detail at first glance. Rotate the watch under strong light to check the case finishing before anything else.

- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.
