I picked this up after seeing a friend’s genuine 15500ST, and the first thing that caught me was the tapisserie dial. It has that crisp, textured look that gives the watch depth instead of a flat gray face. The case proportions are right where they should be too, with the Royal Oak shape sitting cleanly on the wrist without feeling bulky.
What really sold me was the screw alignment. On a watch like this, that detail matters more than people think, and it’s handled very well here. The whole thing just has the right stance and balance. My wife, who usually ignores my watch purchases, actually asked to try it on and said it looked very sharp.

Arrived and opened it expecting to be let down, honestly. I bought this as a gift and figured I’d be doing the usual side-by-side comparison in my head, since the genuine Royal Oak is one of those watches people know on sight. But this one surprised me more than I thought it would. The gray dial has a lot of life to it depending on the light; in brighter daylight it reads lighter and a little cooler, then it turns deeper and moodier indoors. That shift makes it look less flat than I expected from photos.
From across the room, the overall shape and presence are pretty convincing. Up close, yes, you can tell it’s not the real thing if you know what you’re looking for, but it gets the core look right in a way that feels good on wrist. My only mild nitpick is that the dial can look a touch different angle to angle, almost too much at times. Still, for a gift piece, it came together nicely. The person I gave it to was genuinely excited and kept turning it under the light.
