Great case shape, and it wears exactly the way a proper Offshore should. I handed it over at dinner, and he stared at it for a good ten seconds before saying, “That feels expensive.” Then he put it on and would not take it off the rest of the night.

Bought this as a gift from the first time I opened the box I could tell it had more presence than I expected. I was worried the Offshore would wear too bulky or look off in person, but the case proportions are honestly what sold me. It sits with that proper chunkier AP look without feeling awkward, and the shape just looks right on the wrist.
I also paid attention to the screws and the finish since that’s the kind of thing that jumps out quick on these. The screw alignment on mine is very good, not perfectly jewelry-store precise maybe, but close enough that it doesn’t bother me at all. The alternating brushed and polished surfaces catch the light nicely too, which helps the watch feel more expensive than the price tag suggests.
The dial color shift in different light was a pleasant surprise. Indoors it reads one way, then near a window it changes enough to keep it interesting without looking strange. That little bit of depth goes a long way.
My only mild gripe is that it took me a minute to get fully comfortable with the size, but that is more about the style than a real issue. For a gift piece, the value is strong and it looks the part better than I expected.
