The blue dial tourbillon is the most legible of the tourbillon references at distance. Blue reads clearly across a room, and the cage at six o’clock stays visible within the coloured field. The Grande Tapisserie pattern on blue shows strong contrast. The tourbillon adds visual weight at the bottom of the dial but the open structure of the cage gives the eye a point to hold. Compare this against the purple-dial tourbillon (ID 29264) if colour legibility at distance is the deciding factor.

5 stars. I’ve been wearing this daily and the tapisserie dial has real depth to it, not flat at all. The case proportions sit neatly on the wrist and keep the whole watch looking balanced rather than bulky. Very pleased, and the next one I buy will likely be another Royal Oak style piece.

Arrived and opened it straight away, expecting the usual telltales, but the octagonal bezel looks spot on and the finishing gives it proper presence! The blue dial changes character in different light in a way that really surprised me. For collectors who want the look without fuss, I’d recommend it.
