The first thing that hit me was how good the dial looked in natural light. I’ve been through a couple of other reps over the years, and this one finally gets the horizontal embossed dial in a way that feels convincing instead of flat. the texture changes as you tilt it, which is exactly what I was hoping for. My only small nitpick is that I wish the packaging felt a little more premium for the price. Still, as a daily-wear replacement, it’s a strong pick and I’d recommend it.

I’ve handled the genuine 5711 before, and while I’m not pretending this is a museum piece, the overall look is much closer than I expected. It wears great and has that understated feel I wanted.
