Does it look like a thoughtful gift? Yes — very much so. The dark gray dial has real depth to it, with a finish that changes nicely as the light moves across it. It doesn’t look flat or painted on. the packaging was better than I expected, neat and presentable right out of the box.
My only small gripe is that I would have liked the outer box to feel a little more premium for the price. Still, the watch itself made a strong impression.
When my spouse opened it, the first reaction was a smile and then, “Wow, this is beautiful.”
