The 126508 is the 2023 generation yellow gold Daytona. The slimmer case profile and redesigned lugs give the watch a different presence from the 116508 it replaced. A gold dial on a yellow gold case and bracelet runs the same tone through every element. The engraved yellow gold tachymetric bezel follows the same approach as the previous generation: scale cut into metal, not ceramic. The sub-dials define the layout. Up close, the finish variation between brushed and polished surfaces does the work of differentiation.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. The genuine 2023 reference uses the calibre 4131. Replica production is built on the cloned 4130 architecture, so ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock before you order.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k yellow gold. This build is plated over steel, which is why it costs what it costs. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

The Oyster bracelet has a solid, smooth feel on the wrist, and the glide-lock clasp is easy to adjust without feeling loose or flimsy. That was the part I was most nervous about, honestly, because my husband notices that stuff right away.
The date wheel font looks clean and sharp, not chunky or off like I’ve seen on other pieces. It just looks right when you glance at it, which makes a big difference for a watch like this. The whole thing has a nice weight to it too, so it doesn’t feel like a toy or costume piece.
