On the 116503, the chronograph pushers and crown are yellow gold rather than steel. In use, the pushers sit recessed behind the crown guards, so the gold elements stay protected. The yellow gold tachymetric bezel uses an engraved scale: the numerals sit in channels cut into the metal, and the finish catches light at an angle. A Rolesor Daytona with this bezel reads warmer than the same watch with a Cerachrom unit.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned 4130, not a genuine Rolex calibre. It reproduces the architecture of the original and it runs a working chronograph, which is the point of the reference.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is Yellow Rolesor, Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold. This build is plated over steel, which is why it costs what it costs. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Arrived and opened it this afternoon, and I was impressed right away. The glide-lock clasp feels secure and easy to adjust, and that alone makes the watch much more comfortable than I expected. The case finishing is clean, with good transitions between polished and brushed surfaces, and it does a respectable job of echoing the genuine piece. I have owned and handled the real Daytona enough to say this clone gets the overall presence right without feeling flimsy or toy-like. For the money, the wrist feel is very convincing. I am already thinking my next purchase will be another Rolex Daytona clone in a different dial setup.

Could a watch at this price really feel this close to the real thing. Yes, in a lot of the ways that matter to me it does. The ceramic bezel is the part that won me over first. The color has a deep, clean look and the markings stand out sharply without looking busy. Under light, it has that smooth glossy presence I was hoping for, not a flat or cheap finish. My wife picked this up for me as a gift, and I have spent a good amount of time turning it over in my hands and comparing it to photos of the genuine. The overall impression is strong, with the bezel doing a lot of the visual heavy lifting. I also like how balanced it feels on wrist, which helps the watch carry its size well. The only small nitpick is that the bezel catches fingerprints a little easier than I expected, so it needs a quick wipe now and then. Still, this has been easy to wear and looks right at home with a casual shirt or dressed up for dinner, which is how I plan to use it day to day.
