Two-tone on the Daytona means a steel case with gold bezel, crown, and centre bracelet links. On this version, stones cover the dial face. In mixed light the steel sections catch differently from the gold sections, and the stone-set dial adds a third surface quality to the combination. The chronograph sub-dials sit within the stone field. The overall weight on the wrist is higher than an all-steel Daytona. The gold and steel bracelet taper has more visual movement than a single-metal build.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned movement built to the architecture of the original, not a genuine factory calibre. Clean Factory leads the current sports references and AR Factory the older Submariners. Ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is a steel and gold combination. This build is plated over steel. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Stones. The set stones are simulants, not mined diamonds. They are cut and seated to match the original layout, and they are not gemstones.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Compared side by side with a genuine Daytona, this one gets a lot right—especially the feel of the Oyster bracelet and the case finishing. The links articulate smoothly and the watch sits comfortably, not clunky at all 👍 The packaging was also better than I expected; box and papers arrived looking neat and complete, which matters to me as a collector. My only small nitpick is that the clasp action could be a touch more refined, just a little less stiff at first. That said, once it’s on, it wears well and doesn’t call attention to itself. I’d happily use it as a daily-wear piece without overthinking it. 😎

I opened the box after dinner and ended up sitting at the kitchen table turning this watch over in the light for half an hour. The first thing that struck me was the balance on the wrist — it has that solid, planted feel I like in a Daytona, not head-heavy at all. For a two tone piece, it wears better than I expected and sits just right. The lume is a pleasant surprise too; under a dim room it lights up cleanly and stays legible without looking harsh. As a collector, I also pay attention to the presentation, and the box and papers were a nice touch. It all came together in a way that made the whole unboxing feel complete rather than thrown together.
