A turquoise dial on the Daytona places a continuous colour field behind the three sub-dials. Turquoise is a dense tone that holds across different light conditions without the shift that most blue or green dials produce. The three registers punctuate the colour field and remain readable because they break the continuous surface. The tachymetric bezel sits above a dial that does not reference it. This is the Daytona where the dial colour carries more weight in the purchase decision than the timing function.
