On the Oyster bracelet with no gold element anywhere, this configuration reads as one material throughout. The tachymetric scale stays legible against the ceramic in direct light.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned 4130, not a genuine Rolex calibre. It reproduces the architecture of the original and it runs a working chronograph, which is the point of the reference.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Compared side by side with the genuine Daytona, this watch got a lot right right away… the overall weight balance is what stood out first. It sits on the wrist with that solid, centered feel I was hoping for, not head-heavy or awkward, and it wears more naturally than I expected from my first replica purchase.
