Root Beer puts a brown and black two-colour ceramic bezel on a steel case. The earth tones read warmer than any of the blue-based colourways in the GMT line. Look at the bezel join at six o’clock: the brown-to-black transition shows whether the ceramic ring was fired correctly. A clean join keeps the dial palette coherent. Wear this one where a Pepsi or Batman would feel too cool-toned.

- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.
