A chronograph in white gold carries more visual weight than the same design in steel, without the yellow of traditional gold. Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned movement built to the architecture of the original, not a genuine factory calibre. Clean Factory leads the current sports references and AR Factory the older Submariners. Ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k white gold. This build is plated over steel. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Could this pass next to the real thing? I was skeptical, but the case shape, bezel, and overall feel are dang close to my genuine Daytona. On wrist it has the right presence and balance. For me, it’s a strong piece and I will buy again.

4 stars. The dial detail is sharp and the watch arrived in nice box and papers, which made the whole thing feel put together. It wears great for daily use and has real wrist presence. My only small gripe is the lume could be a touch brighter. Will buy again.
