The Volcano name signals orange. On the chronograph Offshore, orange runs through the dial, the sub-dial rings, and the rubber strap. It is one of the more assertive colour combinations the Offshore chronograph has carried: the orange and the black rubber elements have near-equal weight at arm’s length. Check the sub-dial orange detailing under magnification because orange pigment on dark registers shows uneven saturation most clearly. The bezel screw alignment check applies to every Offshore, but on a black and orange reference the contrast makes any misalignment obvious.

- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Bought this from the Northeast after spending way too much time comparing photos to the genuine Offshore. The octagonal bezel is spot on from normal viewing distance, and the tapisserie dial pattern has real depth instead of looking flat or printed. What sold me most was the screw alignment, which is cleaner than I expected on a piece at this price. My only small nitpick is that the case finishing could catch the light a little more evenly in a few spots. Overall, it gave me the confidence I was hoping for and I would buy again.
