The rose gold case changes the grey dial character relative to the steel tourbillon versions. Grey reads as warm against rose gold rather than neutral. The tourbillon cage at six sits in the same open field as on the steel versions. The polished bevels on a rose gold case carry colour at a lower angle than steel, so they glow rather than flash. Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned movement built to the architecture of the original, not a genuine factory calibre. ZF Factory leads these, cloning the 3120 and 3126. Ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k rose gold. This build is plated over steel. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 50 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Picked this up as a bit of a treat after a long stretch at work. The integrated bracelet sits well and the brushed and polished finishing gives it real depth. Compared with a genuine Royal Oak I’ve handled, it is very convincing. Slightly stiff on first wear, but I’d still recommend it.
