On a gold Constellation, the griffes at 3 and 9 are more visible than on steel. Yellow gold makes the claw joint stand out from every angle. The Roman numerals on the fluted bezel are engraved into gold. Light catches them differently than it does on a steel bezel. The integrated bracelet taper is part of the case design. Check the claws first, then the bracelet polish.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned movement built to the architecture of the original, not a genuine factory calibre. VSF Factory is the credible producer, because of the Co-Axial escapement. Ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k gold. This build is plated over steel. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 50 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Compared with the genuine, this Omega Clone gets closer than I expected, especially on the broad arrow hands and the overall dial presence. On the wrist, the water-resistance feel is reassuring too — it has that sealed, confident heft rather than anything flimsy. The finish is tidy and the watch sits nicely with a good sense of weight. My only small gripe is the packaging, which felt a bit plain for a gift at this price. Still, my wife opened it, looked it over, and smiled like I’d done very well indeed!
