At first glance, this watch looked far better than I expected. I’m pretty picky about dress watches, and the Calatrava shape can be unforgiving if the lines are off, but this one surprised me in a good way. The black and blue dial has real depth to it, and the horizontal embossed texture catches light in a way that keeps it from looking flat. The applied indices are crisp, and the polished bevels give the case a cleaner, more refined feel than I figured I’d get at this price.
What won me over most was how easy it is to wear day to day. It sits thin on the wrist and slips under a cuff without a fight, which matters more to me than people admit. I’ve worn watches that look great in the box but get left behind once real life starts. This one hasn’t done that. It’s been comfortable for long stretches, doesn’t feel overbuilt, and still reads as something special when I glance down at it. For a collector who was skeptical going in, that’s a pretty solid win. It’s become one of the easier pieces in my rotation for daily wear.

4 stars… I went into this expecting a decent homage at best, because I’ve handled the genuine 6007G and know how much the little things matter. To my surprise, the integrated bracelet is one of the strongest parts here. The fit and flow of it against the case are convincing, and it wears more naturally than I thought it would. The polished bevels catch the light in a way that gives the watch some life, and the hand finishing is better than what I usually see at this level. Even the dial has a nice sense of depth, not just a printed flat surface.
Compared side by side with the real piece, it gets a lot of the attitude right. It has that restrained, modern Calatrava feel without trying too hard. My only small gripe is that the bracelet has a little more visual sharpness than the genuine, so the transitions don’t feel quite as buttery up close. Still, that’s a minor note in an otherwise very convincing watch. If you’re measuring it against the original and want something that captures the look well, I’d recommend it.
