4 stars. I was replacing an older rep and figured this one would be more of the same, but it surprised me. The weight feel is what sold me first — it has that solid, expensive presence without feeling like a brick on the wrist. The case shape wears right, too, and it sits better than my last one did. My only nitpick is the strap took a little time to loosen up. Overall, for the money, this was a smart swap and a better value than what I had before.

The first thing I noticed was how much better the skeleton dial looks in person. I’ve collected watches for a while, but this is my first time buying a Richard Mille style piece, and I was honestly relieved when I opened the box. The dial has real depth to it—the layers, the open work, the way you can see through it all without it looking messy. It has that busy, mechanical look I wanted, but it still feels clean. The tonneau case shape also sits nicely and gives it a strong wrist presence without being awkward. The strap fit was comfortable right away, which mattered more than I expected. My only small gripe is that the screws could be a touch cleaner if you’re staring at it under bright light. That said, I’m glad I took the chance on it, and I’m already looking at what I want next.
