Roman numerals are the Day-Date’s original index format. In white on a yellow gold case, they read formally and clearly. The 36mm carries Roman numerals with more proportion than the 40mm, where the figures fill less space. The white dial against yellow gold is the clearest colour contrast this configuration makes. Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned movement built to the architecture of the original, not a genuine factory calibre. Clean Factory leads the current sports references and AR Factory the older Submariners. Ask us which calibre is in the build currently in stock.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k yellow gold. This build is plated over steel. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.
