Right out of the box, this watch felt like a solid step up from the rep I was replacing… the dial is where it really won me over. The white Roman setup looks crisp, and the printing has a clean edge to it that keeps the face from looking flat or cheap. Under normal light, the spacing and overall detail come across well, and it has that proper Day-Date presence on the wrist without feeling overdone. The case finishing is also better than I expected, so the whole watch sits nicely and doesn’t look awkward when you move around.
For everyday wear, it has been easy to live with. The bracelet feels right and the weight is convincing enough that it doesn’t come off as hollow. My only small gripe is that the cyclops could be a touch stronger for my taste… not a dealbreaker, just something I noticed next to my last piece. Otherwise, this has been a very good replacement and a big improvement where it counts.
I’m already thinking about my next purchase being another Day-Date variation.

Bought this after spending too much time comparing it to my genuine Day-Date, and from the first try-on the balance impressed me. The weight sits well on the wrist instead of feeling top-heavy, which makes a bigger difference than most people realize. The Oyster bracelet has a decent feel, and the glide-lock clasp is easy enough to work with once you get used to it. dial detail is also stronger than I expected at this price, especially the white Roman markers.
a tiny issue is the cyclops magnification being just a bit less punchy than the original I own. Still, for the money, the overall value is very good and it gives a convincing look without trying too hard.
