White dial on yellow gold with the Oysterflex: the strap changes the wrist experience from the Oyster bracelet version. The Oysterflex sits flat and does not move independently from the case. The white dial provides the contrast point for the yellow gold bezel and case around it. The engraved tachymetric scale on the gold bezel catches light differently when the face behind it is white rather than gold. The gold reads warmer by comparison; the white reads cooler.

Where this build differs from the original
- Movement. A cloned 4130, not a genuine Rolex calibre. It reproduces the architecture of the original and it runs a working chronograph, which is the point of the reference.
- Case metal. The genuine reference is 18k yellow gold. This build is plated over steel, which is why it costs what it costs. Solid metal builds exist and are priced accordingly.
- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Arrived and I opened it right away, since I wanted to compare it to my genuine Daytona the same night. Overall, the feel is impressively close—especially the Oyster bracelet, which has the right mix of firmness and comfort on the wrist. The lume is decent and clean, though not quite as strong as the real one. Still, the case profile and general presence are better than I expected for the price. Gave it to my brother and he was grinning before I even finished explaining what it was.

Picked this up after my last rep started feeling loose, and this one is a big step up. The Oyster bracelet has a solid, smooth feel on wrist, way more convincing than what I was wearing before. It sits with good weight balance and the watch has real wrist presence without feeling overdone. For an everyday piece, it just wears right and doesn’t look out of place at all. I’m pretty happy with it so far, and my next move is probably the black dial version.
