This places the diver function first and the chronograph second. The rubber pushers serve both. Look at the sub-dial contrast against the Mega Tapisserie ground before the bezel. Legibility on a chronograph depends on that contrast, and a dense dial surface makes it harder to read the registers quickly. Someone who plans to use the chronograph function in regular conditions needs the sub-dials to stand clear of the main ground.

- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

Compared to the genuine, this Offshore Diver Chronograph gets a lot right for daily wear. The look is very close and it feels solid on the wrist, not flimsy at all. Only small nitpick: the packaging is plain. Still, I’m relieved and will buy again.
