Bought this from a forum contact after a good bit of reading, and I’ll admit I was pretty skeptical going in. First replica I’ve ever tried, so I was watching the case proportions hard. Right out of the box, this Offshore Elephant 42 looked right to me in a way I didn’t expect. The case has that chunky presence without looking bloated, and the shape sits the way it should on wrist. It wears like a proper sports piece, not some oversized toy. I’ve had it on for a few days now and the proportions are the main reason I keep reaching for it. Easy to see this becoming a daily-wear watch.

Arrived-and-opened, and my first impression was that the case proportions on this Audemars Piguet Offshore Elephant 42 are really on point for daily wear. The watch has that bold Offshore presence without feeling cartoonishly oversized on the wrist, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I’ve been rotating it through workdays and weekend errands here in the Northeast, and it sits balanced enough that I don’t find myself fiddling with it. The shape wears better than I expected, and the way the case is sized makes the whole thing feel natural instead of bulky.
The finishing is solid, too — the brushed and polished areas catch the light nicely, and the dial has enough depth to keep it interesting. I also like how the proportions make the bracelet flow into the case without looking awkward. 👍🙂
My only mild nitpick is that I wish the watch wore just a touch lower on the wrist, but that’s a small thing in the grand scheme. For a daily-wear piece at this price, it’s been a strong pickup and I’m happy with it so far. Will buy again
