The 126508-0002 is yellow gold with an engraved bezel and a black dial. The yellow gold case, the filled engraved tachymeter, and the black dial create a warm-over-dark structure. The engraved bezel reads as a separate warm ring above the black surface rather than a continuous case element. In low light the dial absorbs and the gold case holds whatever ambient light is present. The Oyster bracelet is the same yellow gold throughout. Weight on the wrist is solid across the full metal build.

- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.

I picked this up as a gift and waited like a kid for the box to show up… when it did, the packaging made the whole thing feel special right away. The papers were a nice touch, and the watch itself has a great wrist feel. The weight balance is what stood out to me most — it doesn’t feel cheap or awkward, just solid and well put together. The ceramic bezel also has a sharp, clean look that fits the watch perfectly. My only gripe is that the box could be a little more polished for the price. Even so, the overall presentation and quality made it feel worth the money…

Compared to the genuine Daytona I tried on in NYC, this one gets a lot closer than I expected. The ceramic bezel has that deep black look and a clean edge, which really sells it in person. My only small nitpick is the bezel finish under bright light; it can show a tiny bit of glare. Still, for a first rep, I’d recommend it.
