The black dial Sky-Dweller puts the annual calendar display against a dark field. The month apertures beside each hour marker read as small filled circles against the black surface. On a dark dial, the filled positions are the most visible element after the hands and the date. The Ring Command bezel circles a dark centre, which concentrates the visual weight inward. This is the most tool-oriented read of the three Sky-Dweller dials.

- Water resistance. The genuine reference is rated to 100 metres. This build is not pressure tested. Treat it as splash resistant and keep it out of the pool.
