I bought this from the UK as a bit of a milestone treat to myself… something I’d been putting off for ages after seeing the genuine Daytona in a dealer window and never quite being able to justify it. When this watch turned up, the first thing I noticed was how convincing it looks on the wrist. It has that proper Daytona presence without feeling silly for everyday use, and I’ve worn it with jeans, a shirt, even out for dinner, and it just works.
Compared with the genuine, it gets a lot right in the overall look and feel. The case shape and dial layout give the right impression straight away, and from normal viewing distance it’s very persuasive. The bracelet sits comfortably enough for long wear and I’ve found it easy to forget about once it’s on. My only mild gripe is that the clasp took a little fiddling to get exactly where I wanted it at first… after that, no real issue. For the money, it’s a proper enjoyable upgrade and I would buy again.

Arrived and opened it straight away… first thing I checked was the date wheel font, because that’s where a lot of these fall apart, and this one is very, very convincing. The black dial has the right kind of depth, and on wrist the presence is spot on without feeling over the top. I’m pretty picky as someone who’s handled the genuine piece, and this watch gives me that same itch to keep looking at it. It’s also easy enough to wear day to day, which matters more than people admit. I’ve already got my next purchase in mind…
