Green is a mid-tone dial that reads differently from both pale and dark options. The slide rule numerals must contrast clearly against the green ground. On a mid-tone surface, ink density variation is more visible than on a white or black dial because neither extreme hides it. Check the printing under natural light, then under a lamp, and look for any difference. The bezel ring must track the inner dial ring at all positions.
